Lone Bison Solar, LLC has secured a county Special Use Permit to build a 330MW commercial solar project over about 3,853 acres of agricultural land in southwest Finney County. Construction is expected to start late 2027 and run 12–18 months, with a project life around 40 years and multiple required agreements (development, decommissioning, road use, community benefits) still to be finalized. EPCs, civil, electrical, environmental, vegetation management, security, SCADA, and O&M vendors have a long runway to engage the developer and County on detailed design, permitting, and implementation support.
