SUMMARY
The Town of Tupper Lake is seeking proposals from qualified New York State Licensed Land Surveyors to perform a life-of-mine survey and prepare associated maps for the town-owned sand and gravel pit located in Piercefield, St. Lawrence County, New York (Tax Parcel No. 195.000-6-11.2). The selected surveyor will furnish labor, equipment, and materials to delineate the boundary of land currently affected by mining and the entire life-of-mine project boundary, prepare maps at a horizontal scale not to exceed one inch equals two hundred feet, and coordinate with the Town Board on the Mined Land-Use Plan for NYSDEC permit application or renewal. Proposals are due by October 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., submitted to Mary Kay Strack, Town Clerk, 120 Demars Blvd., Tupper Lake, NY 12986. Questions must be submitted in writing to Councilman Adam Boudreau by October 1, 2026. Proposers must submit a non-collusive bidding certification, and comply with prevailing wage and insurance requirements.

A sealed, Signed boundary and topographic survey map meeting the requirements of Section 2, In a form suitable for submission to NYSDEC, Bearing the seal and signature of a New York State licensed Professional Land Surveyor; Digital files in both PDF and AutoCAD.dwg format; Three (3) paper copies of the final map(s), Suitable for submission to NYSDEC “in triplicate” as required under the Mined Land Reclamation Program; A brief narrative memorandum summarizing survey methodology, Horizontal and vertical datum used, And any title, Boundary, Or encroachment issues discovered during the survey.
