SUMMARY
The City of Anna Maria is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for rebuild construction services at Elm Avenue and Spring Avenue beach access overwalks resulting from storm damage caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The project consists of constructing two new ADA-compliant public beach walkovers: Elm Avenue Walkover (approximately 50 feet long by 6 feet wide, max height 24 inches) and Spring Avenue Walkover (approximately 75 feet long by 6 feet wide, max height 40 inches). The scope includes foundation piles, structural framing, decking, ADA-compliant accessible ramp systems, handrails, guardrails, fasteners, bracing, hardware, right-of-way transitions, site preparation, erosion and sediment control, site restoration, debris disposal, and cleanup. The project is funded in whole or in part through federal disaster recovery funding, including FEMA Public Assistance. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for September 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Spring Avenue, 103 Spring Avenue, Anna Maria, FL 34216. Questions are due by September 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Bids are due prior to September 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. via DemandStar only. Bidders must provide a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount and comply with insurance, drug-free workplace, E-Verify, and public records requirements.
