SUMMARY
Hendry County is soliciting proposals for an exclusive franchise to provide residential solid waste, recyclable materials, and yard trash collection services, as well as commercial solid waste collection services across unincorporated Hendry County. The work includes residential curbside collection using 95-gallon toters for solid waste and 64-gallon toters for recyclables, bulk solid waste pick-up, and commercial container services. As of December 2025, there are approximately 11,322 residential units and hundreds of commercial accounts in the service area. Proposals are due by March 18, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., with a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for February 19, 2026. The initial contract term is five years, beginning October 1, 2026, with an option to renew for one additional five-year term.
