SUMMARY
The City of Gaithersburg is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide maintenance, repair, and installation services for plumbing equipment at various city-owned or leased facilities and parks on an as-needed basis through executed task orders. The scope of work includes cleaning drains and sewer lines, servicing pumps and piping, unstopping and snaking drain systems, repairs to piping and couplings, servicing and replacing commercial and residential fixtures, hydrojetting, camera line inspections, fire hydrant, water meter, and water valve installation, backflow testing, repair and installation, and general plumbing work. The estimated total value for the contract is not to exceed $100,000 per twelve-month period, with a contract term of up to five years. Proposals are due by October 22, 2026, at 5:00 PM, submitted via email to [email protected]. An optional pre-submission meeting will be held on September 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Department of Public Works, 800 Rabbitt Road, Gaithersburg, MD. Vendor questions are due by October 6, 2026. Minimum qualifications require five years of experience with commercial, governmental, or educational institutional agencies and employing a State-licensed Master Plumber.
