From the meeting
At its August 20, 2026 meeting, the cluster discussed what support, resources, and professional development the college should provide for AI in teaching and learning. Faculty noted workshops, Student Assistant from Bongo, and concerns about whether AI may become required. Allan Nosworthy also argued for suspending AI in ENC 1101 and most of ENC 1102 and using a portfolio approach, so the policy discussion is still open and tied to future training and guidance decisions.

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
