From the meeting
The board adopted a motion allowing the supervisor to sign a letter for Riverkeeper asking the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to fund PFAS remediation for closed landfills. The request is about securing state support for cleanup work, not awarding a contract. The signal is useful because it ties a specific remediation need to a potential funding source.
