From the meeting
At its September 22, 2026 special meeting, the Town Board adopted Resolution 179-2026 to tighten controls over the Highway Department. The resolution required replacement of security cameras at Town facilities, re-keying and access control under the Supervisor's office, GPS/telematics on Town vehicles, and a 30-day physical inventory of materials, equipment, tools, and signage. It also required monthly reporting, written quotes on file for purchases, and separate board approval for equipment, tools, or implements.
The measures took effect immediately.

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
