SUMMARY
The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) issues Request for Applications RFA R-27.2-RTAWD for Research Training Award for Workforce Development (RTAWD). The goal of this award is to facilitate the training of the next generation of outstanding cancer researchers to help ensure that a pool of highly trained scientists is available in adequate numbers and in appropriate research areas to address the state's and the nation's basic, population-based, clinical, and translational cancer research needs. Applicants may request a maximum of $800,000 in total costs per year for up to 5 years. Applications must be submitted online via the new CPRIT Grants Management Platform (GMP) beginning September 16, 2026, and must be submitted by 5 PM central time on November 18, 2026.
