From the meeting
The November 2, 2026 draft agenda included a resolution to apply for the 2027 NYS Canal System Tourism Infrastructure and Events Grant and authorize the mayor to sign application documents. The packet says this is for canal-related tourism infrastructure and events, but it was only scheduled for consideration in the agenda text provided. This is a pre-award funding lead, not a contract award.
