From the meeting
The library is helping launch the Little Learners Literacy Collection, an early literacy collection for children ages 0-5 at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center. The Armory provided funds to purchase the books, and the Orange County Department of Health purchased furniture. The library is already cataloging, shelving, maintaining, and circulating the collection, so the useful angle is ongoing collection support and any future expansion of the site.

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
