From the meeting
The District Instructional Materials Review Committee reviewed multiple literature titles, including Never Let Me Go, Vanishing Half, Purple Hibiscus, The Firekeeper's Daughter, Welcome to the New World, Internment, and We Are Not From Here. The rubric says the committee will make final recommendations to the Superintendent based on the evidence collected. This is not a contract award, but it shows an active district review cycle for classroom reading materials and a likely buying decision ahead.
