From the meeting
The council approved applying for a $7,500 Community Foundation grant to replace the park house with an open shelter like the ones at Monkey Run Parks. Mayor Todd said the city would need about $26,000 more if the grant is awarded, and part-time Public Works employee Steve Tomfeld may build it. The grant application is the current decision point, and the project could create follow-on work for shelter construction if funding comes through.
