From the meeting
The board authorized Highway Superintendent Christopher Countryman to hire Jacob LaPlant as a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator starting September 14, 2026. The new hire fills a vacancy left by a recently retired highway employee, and he must obtain a Class B CDL during a six-month probationary period. This is a staffing action, but it also signals ongoing highway operations capacity needs.
