From the meeting
The Advance 2050 long range transportation plan amendment added the Roy D. Bridges and Eastern Relief Bridge Replacement as an unfunded need. The document says the bridges were built in the 1960s for Apollo-era space travel and are not adequate for larger heavy-launch vehicles.
Space Florida was pursuing funding, but no procurement was selected yet. The project is a long-lead capital signal tied to future design, environmental, and construction work.
