THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
Pilot program for online education with dedicated teacher support for at-risk students.
The program costs $1600 per semester per student, totaling $3200 per year. This is funded through Dropout Prevention funding. The goal is to retain students who might otherwise leave for online options, thus avoiding a loss of state funding ($8000 per student). The district is exploring if this model is sustainable and beneficial.
