On August 18, 2026 the commissioners approved Explore Crawford County's recommendation for $100,000 annually for three years toward the Don Gutteridge Sports Complex project. Ms. Runyon said the request was for $300,000 total, paid from the transient guest tax fund.

Daron Hall, Pittsburg City Manager, and Joe Dellasega discussed the project scope, Lincoln Park improvements, donated turf for Jaycees and all seven fields, and sports tourism timing. The motion prevailed.
