From the meeting
Mike Costello reported on the status of the channel improvement project and the related dredging permit requests. WI-DNR had accepted the required Wetlands Delineation Report in January 2026, but Tribal Natural Resources Department staff said permit review was delayed while the Tribe developed a new permitting process. TNRD staff were also performing water quality studies to determine possible effects on algae bloom from channel dredging.
The permitting work was still unresolved at this meeting.
