From the meeting
During the August 17, 2026 budget workshop, Public Works Superintendent John Witkowski said the city had 13 Public Works trucks that were more than 20 years old and needed replacement because parts could not be found. Finance Director Andrea Murff said department heads would build a list of assets and replacement costs for items needing replacement within the next 20 years, then meet with council in January or February. The 2027 budget and CIP were said not to be further affected at this meeting.
The item remained in planning.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
