From the meeting
At the October 12, 2026 board minutes, Director Schenck said the department was hopeful it could move forward with more budgeted Capital Improvement projects that fall. He specifically named Kinnick-Feller Park playground surface and parking lot improvements as work it would be great to complete before winter weather. The item was discussed as a future capital project and no award was recorded.
The board packet treated it as an unbuilt budgeted improvement.

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
