From the meeting
At the November 5, 2026 Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting, staff outlined 2027 plans for Columbine Park. The plan was to convert the concrete slab under the existing shelter into a pickleball court and install two smaller dispersed shelters near the pickleball and volleyball courts. The board supported the concept unanimously.
Staff also said the park had already received a $500,000 Safe Streets grant for pedestrian lighting and that playground replacement was still needed.
