From the meeting
At the November 2, 2026 meeting the council reviewed Atlas Tower's request for a new 80-foot cell tower at 335 S. 1250 W. The staff report said AT&T would contract to locate on the tower because of a coverage gap near I-15 and 1600 N, and Atlas Tower sought approval for a standard galvanized monopole instead of a stealth design.
The request still needed City Council location and design approval before a conditional use permit application could go to the planning commission. Decision state: proposed and under review.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
