From the meeting
At its September 8, 2026 meeting the district rescinded the prior public-private partnership resolution so it could open the wastewater plant design and construction process to competitive bidding. The General Manager said DEP input was driving a separate Request for Qualifications (RFQ), and the district had already sent the RFQ to DEP for review before posting it. The prior three contractors may still bid, but the opportunity is now open.
This creates an active procurement signal around a major plant project.
