From the meeting
At its September 22, 2026 meeting, staff reported that about 6,200 Code Enforcement Officials (CEOs) and Building Safety Inspectors (BSIs) have completed Advanced In-Service (AIS) training for the 2025 NYS Code update. The online self-paced AIS training was recently added to the ICC training portal and will remain available through the rest of 2026 and throughout 2027, with a December 31, 2026 completion deadline for CEOs and BSIs. This is an implementation and training rollout already underway, with ongoing training content and portal support still relevant.
