At its October 9, 2026 meeting, Council was advised that the amending agreements for Contract 2019-RFP-156 had been executed with Miller Waste Systems Inc. and GFL Environmental Inc. The contracts for curbside collection and haulage of garbage, recyclables, and organic waste were extended one additional year, from March 5, 2029 to March 3, 2030.
Staff said the combined annual contract value for the extension will be about $21,730,749 before incremental fleet maintenance. The extension agreements were fully executed on September 28, 2026.
