From the meeting

At its October 8, 2026 meeting, the district said it was drafting a letter to DWR and CalOES asking them to stage a crane barge and rock barge at the Staten Island moorings. The September 21, 2026 Governor Newsom proclamation directed state agencies to coordinate with local agencies and stage equipment and materials for El Nino preparation. RD 556, RD 554, RD 2111, and RD 369 had confirmed they would join the request, and Dutra provided a cost proposal to stage the barges.
