From the meeting
At its October 27, 2026 meeting, the Town Council considered authorizing an RFQ for professional consulting services to prepare a Downtown Streetscape Master Plan. The plan would evaluate existing conditions, public engagement, coordination with MaineDOT's Route 4/236 project, concept alternatives, a preferred streetscape plan, planning-level cost estimates, and a phased implementation strategy. The RFQ sought teams with landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation engineering, downtown planning, and public engagement expertise.
Decision state: release of the RFQ was under consideration.
