From the meeting
At its November 4, 2026 meeting, the council approved Resolution 26-84 to petition the Waseca County Drainage Authority for the TH13/CD18 Drainage Consolidation Project. The project will replace the more than 100-year-old County Ditch No. 18 pipe crossing Hwy 13, consolidate two city storm pipes and CD18 into one 48-inch crossing, and remove or abandon the old pipes.
MnDOT had awarded up to $300,000 in Local Partnership Program funding, and total construction cost was estimated at $450,000. The city said its share would be funded by the Storm Sewer Utility, and a future cooperative agreement would address county participation and maintenance.
