From the meeting
At its November 3, 2026 meeting the council considered adding a new water service for 320 West Rocket Road. Staff said the property owner, Mr. O'Brien, sought a new meter, but the Utilities Department found the existing line had no available capacity.
Greg Hobbs reported on August 14, 2026 that the line was 1 1/4 inches at both test locations and that new water system improvements would be the property owner's financial responsibility. Staff recommended denial of the request.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
