SUMMARY
The Town of Bowers is seeking bids for the North Bayshore Drive Drainage Improvements project located in Bowers, DE. The work generally consists of the installation of a storm drain network comprising a combination of open and closed conveyances to intercept runoff from North Bayshore Drive and convey it to a pump station on the east side of North Flack Avenue, which will then pump intercepted stormwater to the marsh area on the west side of the roadway. Because this area is under tidal influence, backflow preventers will be installed at the end of the outlet pipe to prevent water in the marsh area from reversing direction and flowing back into the area of North Bayshore Drive. Bids are due by June 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at 550 Bay Road, Dover, DE 19901. Last day for questions is June 19, 2026, with question responses provided by June 23, 2026. Substantial completion shall be achieved by July 29, 2026.
