SUMMARY
The City of Milwaukee Department of City Development (DCD) and Historic King Drive Business Improvement District No. 8 are soliciting qualification packages for planning and urban design services for the City of Milwaukee King Drive Corridor Plan. The plan will identify needs, highlight development opportunities, and establish priorities for public investment.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
Demonstrated local knowledge of Milwaukee, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and surrounding neighborhoods; and understanding of zoning, local government structure, public/private partnerships, and other aspects of the project., Demonstrated record of expertise in creating conceptual development and design scenarios for catalytic sites with market viability, commercial and storefront rehabilitation, revival, and adaptive reuse; and constructability in mind., Experience engaging the public as part of planning and development efforts, particularly in low-income communities and communities of color., Quality and relevance of renderings, sketches, maps/diagrams, and illustrations (plus any associated writing) in sample work included with the proposal., Experience in assessing and documenting the availability of parking and making recommendations to increase the efficiency of existing parking assets., Project staff qualifications., Hourly rates and reimbursable expenses (e.g., travel)., Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program participation.
