From the meeting
The Personnel Committee met on October 8, 2026 and had a new director search calendar on the board agenda. That is a leadership trigger because a new director can reset priorities for technology, facilities, staffing, and budget planning. The source does not give the search dates or process details, so the lead is limited to the pending leadership transition.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
When will Penn Yan Public Library issue an RFP for this project?
Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Penn Yan Public Library's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
How can vendors engage with Penn Yan Public Library before the RFP is published?
