THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
The Erving Museum Committee agenda shows ongoing work at the Pearl B. Care Building, including addressing physical building needs and ordering items. The committee is also organizing and cataloging museum items, handling a safe, books, pamphlets, photos, and photo uploads to an online catalog, plus website instruction and design. This indicates emerging needs for building repairs, exhibit and storage equipment, archival supplies, digitization tools, and website or collections software support, with no vendors named yet.
Agenda references coordination with Thomas Duffy for building needs, a National Grid bill, and donations of Comcast photos and Boy Scout items, suggesting utility, facilities, and collections management activity.

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
