THE 30-SECOND BRIEF

What's planned

The district plans to replace all existing CTE co-op courses with a new Career Strategies with Internship course aligned to the state's new accountability model. The course allows 1 or 2 credits based on up to 280 hours of work-based learning and opens internships to additional areas. This redesign will need structures for employer partnerships, placement tracking, hour logging, and evaluation, creating demand for work-based learning platforms, community partnership tools, and related professional development.

Background

All prior CTE Co-Op opportunities (Agricultural, Culinary, Health Occupation, etc.) will be streamlined under this new course.
