THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
The district accepted a 2025-2026 Extraordinary Aid award of $713,197 from the state, offsetting high-cost special education services. This significant reimbursement may free some local funds or support continuation of intensive placements and related services. Special education service providers, therapists, and specialized transportation or equipment vendors can explore whether the district is planning to maintain, expand, or adjust programs funded by these high-cost cases.
Extraordinary Aid reimburses prior-year high-cost special education; may influence future OOD, related service, and staffing decisions.
