From the meeting
The council discussed Chapter 9 of the Envision Lyons 2045 comprehensive plan, which covers water, wastewater, stormwater, energy, and flood resilience. The chapter calls for a 10-year capital improvement plan, wastewater modernization, and stormwater upgrades, and it references future grant support from CDBG, FEMA, USDA, and state programs. This is not a procurement yet, but it is a clear planning map for future funded projects.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
When will Town of Lyon issue an RFP for this project?
Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Town of Lyon's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
How can vendors engage with Town of Lyon before the RFP is published?
Vendors who reach out during the planning window can help shape requirements and build relationships with the decision-makers running the project. A free Civic IQ account unlocks this pre-RFP's source document, forecasted RFP timing, and verified Town of Lyon decision-maker contacts.
