From the meeting
The Council approved Glenville State University's new Associate of Science in Nursing degree program, effective Fall 2027. The program is tied to a $5,000,000 legislative appropriation for Health Sciences infrastructure, and the university planned to hire two new nursing faculty and secure clinical training agreements with regional hospitals. The approval expires two years after Council approval if the program is not fully implemented.
This is a pre-launch expansion that creates follow-on needs for staffing, lab support, clinical partnerships, and program setup.
