THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
The committee is working on a Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Planning and Training Grant (HMEP) FFY 2026 application. This implies upcoming funded activities for hazmat planning, exercises, and training once the grant is awarded. Training providers, planning consultants, and exercise designers can engage now to help shape projects that fit HMEP requirements and be positioned for delivery if funding is approved.
HMEP grants typically fund hazmat responder training, plans, and exercises; scope will depend on the application.
