From the meeting
The committee discussed SB 290, which requires each public and chartered nonpublic school to install at least one exterior secure master key box for each school building. The bill also permits the Attorney General to provide School Safety Training Grants for the purchase and installation of the boxes. This was presented as pending legislation and not as an approved award.
The item remains a policy-driven grant and purchasing signal.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
