From the meeting
The city's September 10, 2026 legislative projects draft sought $340,000 for repair of the Longview Police Department parking garage. The packet says the structure has significant deterioration from age and water intrusion, and that the upper deck coating installed in 2018 is due for renewed protection. This is a funding request tied to a concrete facility preservation project supporting police operations.

What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
