From the meeting
The city manager said the Public Works Director position had four applicants and asked whether the commission wanted the opening posted on the Florida League of Cities website and whether he could hire an interim director. He tied the request to heavy turnover, limited on-call coverage, and training gaps in the department. This is a buying trigger because leadership changes can drive future equipment, maintenance, and project planning.
The immediate next step was still under commission direction.
