From the meeting
The board granted preliminary authorization for the Athletic Department to explore and develop a proposed 2027 varsity six-man football trip to Alabama. The motion was contingent on UIL compliance, district approval, sufficient fundraising, and a final budget and travel safety plan before any binding financial commitments. This is still open planning, with the board signaling a future travel package and related vendor, transportation, and lodging needs.
