THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
The board awarded the 2026-2027 district-wide fire systems monitoring, inspection, testing, certifying, and cleaning contract to Ashworth & Belcastro Systems (ABS) for $91,200, with three optional one-year renewals. ABS will handle extinguishers, quarterly inspections, hood cleanings, and elevator testing. Fire safety and building systems vendors gain incumbent insight and potential future opportunities when the term or extensions near expiration.
Only one bid was received; ABS is the incumbent and was renewed due to system knowledge and cost-effectiveness.
