From the meeting
The agenda recorded the planned retirement of David Smith, Head Mechanic, effective August 14, 2026, and later also listed a retirement notice for John Murray, Senior Maintenance Mechanic, effective September 29, 2026. That creates a visible facilities and fleet maintenance staffing gap inside the district. Vendors that support maintenance operations, repair services, or parts management may want to track how the district backfills the role.
