From the meeting
The agenda includes a 2026 proposal from Casella for custodial care plan and monitoring reduction at the Champlain closed landfill. The document only lists the proposal, so the work appears scheduled for consideration rather than decided. This is a vendor-specific environmental services item tied to an existing closed landfill monitoring need.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
When will Town of Champlain issue an RFP for this project?
Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Town of Champlain's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
How can vendors engage with Town of Champlain before the RFP is published?
Vendors who reach out during the planning window can help shape requirements and build relationships with the decision-makers running the project. A free Civic IQ account unlocks this pre-RFP's source document, forecasted RFP timing, and verified Town of Champlain decision-maker contacts.
