From the meeting

The addendum said the new concrete sidewalk and abutment had been redesigned to avoid the existing cedar tree by removing the overwater walkway and pushing the path back. The city said a qualified arborist report would be requested if needed to determine whether the work would make the tree hazardous, die, or require removal. If damage during construction becomes an issue, the city will hire an arborist and create mitigation if removal is required.

This was discussed in the October 23, 2026 addendum and no tree removal was allowed at that stage.

What is a pre-RFP?

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
