From the meeting
The 2027 capital plan included $3,000,000 to build detached multimodal sidewalks on the north side of North Avenue between 28 1/2 Road and 29 1/2 Road. The city said the work grew out of a 2022 corridor study and that future grant requests would seek money to extend the project east to I-70B and onto the south side. The project is still being sequenced through funding and grant strategy.
That makes design, corridor, and grant-support services relevant now.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.

Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks City of Grand Junction's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
