From the meeting
Person County Schools revised its organizational chart on July 29, 2026 and named a Director of Technology, along with related data systems and technology support roles. This is a leadership signal, not a procurement by itself, but it can shape future software, infrastructure, and support priorities. The likely buyer contact is the new technology leadership team under Superintendent Dr.
Rodney Peterson.

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
