From the meeting
On September 2, 2026, the Planning Commission recommended approval of an amendment to Chapter 8, Appendix A to replace the city's existing roadway specifications with updated Engineering Design and Public Improvement Standards. The new standards cover developer-installed sanitary sewer, watermain, stormwater, street lighting, construction materials, sidewalks and trails, record plans, tracer wires, and related engineering requirements. Staff said the existing appendix was last updated in 2019 and that the change would help developers and their engineers incorporate city standards earlier in design.
City Council action was still pending.

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
