From the meeting
On October 15, 2026, council reviewed a draft Beaver Management Plan prepared by Alpine Water Resources, LLC. The plan set coexistence as the preferred approach and covered GIS mapping, monitoring, culvert protection, pond levelers, tree protection, and preventive measures for infrastructure. No formal action was requested at that meeting, but staff said they would return with a final version for adoption in December 2026.
The plan points to follow-on work around installation, inspections, and ongoing maintenance.
